Lunch & Learn - Adult Learning in Career Development: Lessons from ULGM’s Workforce Programs

WCDA aims to provide at least one (1) professional development opportunity per month for its members. Please join WCDA for a Lunch & Learn session for March's professional development opportunity.

Join us for a dynamic Lunch & Learn exploring the essentials of adult learning theory and how these principles shape effective workforce development. We’ll look at what motivates adult learners, how to create meaningful learning experiences, and why practical, relevant instruction matters.

You’ll also learn how the Urban League of Greater Madison (ULGM) empowers adults reentering the workforce through its innovative training and development programs by helping learners build confidence, gain in-demand skills, and achieve long-term career success.

Join us for this virtual one-hour professional development opportunity. The link to access the session will be sent out one day prior to the session.

Facilitator(s): Travis Ramage, Organizational Development Consultant, UW Health and Rachel Hahn, Employment Specialist & Program Manager, Urban League of Greater Madison

Date/Time/Location: Friday, March 27 from 12:00 pm - 12:50 pm (Central) via MS Teams

Audience: This event is designed to provide professional development for academic advisors, career development professionals, workforce development professionals, coaches, counselors, and educators.

Certificate of Attendance: A certificate of attendance, noting 1 clock hour, will be available for individuals who attend this professional development event.

Pre-Registration: Pre-registration is required. A Teams link will be emailed to registrants the day before the event.
